It turns out that if your company head is an actual fascist, throwing the nazi salute and working for the rascist traitor Donald trump, then your brand might be doomed.

Formerly enthusiastic buyers, most of them urban dwellers in blue states, Democrats and ecologically aware, might change their minds about their expensive, outdated, swasticars.

Was Elon thinking that Trumpite cultists would take up the sales slack and buy his flaming, pedestrian murdering coffins? Ha, ha. Only if Tesla makes a dirty diesel version that can ‘roll coal’.

This does fit in with Musk’s drug addled thinking, and he embodies the extreme stupidity of the rich oligarch in his bubble, never meeting anybody except his sycophant flunkies, and hearing only what he wants to hear.

It’s hard for the law enforcement and security authorities to defend fixed infrastructure like showrooms, car parks, and especially open charging stations.

The guerilla insurgents choose the time and place of attack, which leaves the police and armed forces stretched and extended, unable to protect everything. See the Vietnam conflict.

This is especially evident with the advent of drone warfare, in Ukraine and elsewhere. It certainly looks pretty easy to pack a Mavic drone with gunpowder or gasoline and fly it into a Tesla charger.

The operator could be kilometers away and in very little danger of being stopped or apprehended.

Electronic radio signal jammer? Drone is then equipped with fiber optic cable immune to jamming.

I won’t go into other Ukrainian style drone defenses like massed obsolete machine gun arrays, automatic cannons, or shotguns because I don’t think that’s going to be allowed in Seattle, Portland or Sacramento, even in trump’s fascist America. Not yet, anyway.

I’m always surprised at how seldom critical infrastructure assets are attacked and destroyed by insurgents. It seems pretty easy to take out power lines, gas stations, microwave arrays etc.

Maybe it’s because even the violently disaffected and furious among us like TV, internet, cold beer, and air-conditioning. But this could change rapidly as conditions deteriorate under trump fascism when we lose all that anyway.

I deplore the air pollution but it warms my heart to see Tesla chargers burning like the yule log. I feel some sorrow for innocent Tesla employees and owners.

But OTOH they should have been aware of Musk’s oligarchy, fascism and treason against the US long ago and taken measures.

I’d love to see Tesla and Musk bankrupted and Musk jailed for murder but that never happens to our politically connected oligarchs with most of the world’s money. Burn, baby, burn.
