Raleigh Super Course Fixie

Had to radically re-dish the rear wheel and used the ‘rotafix’ method to attach cog- a ‘suicide hub’, with no lockring and no loctite. I built brake ‘drop bolts’ to match wheel rim and brake shoe height to use a 700c front wheel I had.

Twin brakes with side-pull in front and center-pull in rear. Fuji 4-bolt cranks. Bought locally for $75USD (£46.87GBP), the Super Course frame used non-butted Reynolds 531 tubes. Sold it to a geared bike builder.

It pays to never permanently alter the frames, despite the fact that none of my frames are rare or especially valuable. I actually like all the stock cable guides, hangers, paint, decals, stickers and head badge, battered and worn or new looking.

  1. I do agree with all the ideas you’ve offered on your post.
They are very convincing and will certainly work.
Still, the posts are too quick for newbies.
May you please extend them a bit from subsequent time?
    Thanks for thee post.
